About This Notification
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released Notification No. 9/2026-CMS for 1358 Medical Officer posts under the Combined Medical Services Examination 2026. Post categories: (I) General Duty Medical Officer in Railways/Ordnance Factory Health Service - 150 posts, (II) Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Railways - 500 posts, (III) General Duty Medical Officer Grade-II in CGHS - 519 posts, (IV) Junior Scale GDMO in UT Cadre - 189 posts. Eligibility: MBBS degree from a recognized university/institution included in the First or Second Schedule of the IMC Act 1956; must be registered with a Medical Council. Age Limit: Below 32 years as on 01.08.2026 (SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC +3 yrs, PwBD +10 yrs). Pay Scale: Level 10 - Rs.56,100-1,77,500 plus NPA. Selection: Written Examination (2 papers of 120 MCQs each) followed by Personality Test/Interview. Application Fee: Rs.200 (Gen/OBC/EWS), Nil (SC/ST/PwBD/Women). Apply Mode: Online at upsc.gov.in.
